Business Owners, Directors, Managers and staff have the assurance that an IBASA registered Business Adviser in good-standing is an independent accredited professional with extensive business experience and training who has met demanding criteria defined by IBASA.
Our professionals provide services to small, micro and medium sized businesses in Southern Africa and hence, contribute to the social and economic development of the region. IBASA provides its members with a formal recognized professional status, education and Continuous Professional Development CPD in order to improve the quality of their services.
This is done under a strict Code of Conduct for the benefit of the entrepreneurs that utilize them. We empower our strategic partners with high impact, quality assured, managed solutions for SMME’s, through the use of our graded members.
IBASA offers an accreditation and grading system to members. The grading is divided into two categories: Specialist Business Adviser and Generalist Business Adviser – (also referred to as a Business Mentor).
Applicants can be listed as a specialist or generalist, or both, provided they meet the qualifying criteria of both. As this grading system was devised to accommodate professionals who do not necessarily wish to give general business advice, but who do provide business support services in a specialist field, such as Accountancy services. Legal services, HR consultants, Marketing professionals and Strategy planning specialist, we can only list members as specialising in one of the fields. Individuals who want to be listed as specialists in one particular industry e.g. Agriculture, Mining, Hospitality & Tourism, Transport, Construction and Manufacturing may also do so.
